Silver Microphone Award

Open to more than 20,000 advertising agencies and audio production companies throughout North America, this annual award honors the best of local and regional radio commercials. Two ads voiced by Steve have won a Silver Microphone Award:

A 1993 radio commercial in which Steve provided his celebrity voice impressions of five U.S. Presidents: Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush #1, and Clinton, (plus then-presidential candidate Ross Perot).  That same year, the ad also won the Best of Show Award at the First Annual Capital District Radio Association Awards.
In 1996, Steve also won a Silver Mic (in the "Political" Category) for a three-spot radio ad campaign he voiced for an Upstate New York candidate running for a regional office. In the ads, Steve provided voice impersonations of various famous celebrities who "endorsed" the candidate's run.
